Message:<A Different View>
Knowing Kevin for years, I am Glad to have witnessed the birth of “The Forgotten City”. His enthusiasm and persistence in photography have contributed to his on-going advancement. Through exchange with different photographers, self-study and training, he has gradually established his vivid style. Apart from photographic skills, Kevin’s views and ideas on Photography are unique, which give rise to many enchanting works.
Kevin has used different ways to record Hong Kong. For example, his Crystal Ball series have artistically projected upside down images of his objects. Having witnessed his growth, i find that “The Forgotten City” not only captures Hong Kong’s scenery and changes in society, but also demonstrates Kevin’s view as a photographer. BY showing the reality of Hong Kong through his lens, he inspires us to think. His images of little-known or ignored people and subjects often surprise us. i believe that “The Forgotten City”, which Kevin himself regards as a “Not So Beautiful Photo Album”, will surely impress and encourage you to care more about Hong Kong. I think this was Kevin’ s intention when making “The Forgotten City”.
